Saving the world from Pinterest fails, one project at a time.

If you’re like us, your home design boards are bursting at the seams with great ideas.
The trick is — how do you translate those beautiful pictures into reality? Where do you find those gorgeous real wood products without spending an arm and a leg?

(Hint: The big-box stores sure don’t have them.)

Meet the Owners

Ryan Siggins, Owner of Durango Wood Arboles, Bayfield,

Ryan Siggins, a serial entrepreneur, is the owner of Durango Wood Company. He first moved to Durango, Colorado in 2004 to open his first chiropractic practice (yes, he is a chiropractor). During his healthcare stint, he started 2 other adjunct businesses — Durango Bike Fit and Quantified Performance. In 2012, Ryan and his wife Kerry had their son Jack, and Ryan decided it was time to transition out of the healthcare field.

In 2014 looking for business opportunities in Durango, Ryan stumbled on Las Animas Wood Products, a 60 year-old millworks company on the verge of shutting its doors for good. Seeing an opportunity to continue the legacy of millwork production in La Plata County, Ryan and Kerry purchased the equipment and property in early 2015 and began the turnaround process. Now called Durango Wood Company, the millworks business is thriving by serving customers throughout the Four Corners and beyond with stunning wood products made with exceptional quality. Ryan is proud to have saved this historic property and business, creating jobs and products for the Durango community.

The Siggins Family

The Siggins Family is committed to creating meaningful jobs and high-quality products in the Four Corners area. In addition to helping Ryan grow Durango Wood Company, Kerry is the CEO of StoneAge, Inc., the global leader in designing and manufacturing high-pressure waterblast cleaning tools and robotic equipment used in the industrial cleaning industry. StoneAge sells and supports its products throughout the world. Kerry was named one of Colorado’s Top 25 Most Influential Young Professionals and was a finalist for Colorado’s ‘CEO of the Year’ in 2017. StoneAge is recognized as a Top 100 company to work for by Outside Magazine. Kerry sits on several other boards and is a dynamic, sought-after speaker, presenting at universities, seminars, and conferences worldwide. She hosts two podcasts, Industrial Theory and Reflect Forward. She is an author and blogger; many magazines publish her work, and her blog is visited by tens of thousands of readers each month. Kerry was born in Montrose, Colorado, and has deep roots in Western Colorado. Jack Siggins attends St. Columba School in Durango, where his favorite subject is math, and he is on the Durango BMX Team and the Purgatory Ski Team.
